The Wheel Pizza and Sub in Antigonish

Came recommended by a local.Good pizza, good service, and a shirt wait. What's not to like.

Best pizza I’ve ever had, hands down.

Always a place on my list when I am visiting. Try the Donaire pizza with Donaire sauce.

Was passing through Antigonish in September. Didn't fancy eating at the hotel so ventured down the street. Saw this place and thought - "I'll try it" . SO GLAD I DID. Had one of their subs and compared to the more traditional 'sub' outlets, THIS one was SUPERB. Had to wait a bit longer for it - but the wait was WELL WORTH it. Cost was VERY reasonable considering the product.

Ordered a pizza slice. Crust was paper thin and under baked. Way too much sauce and toppings made pizza impossible to eat. Disappointed especially since I've enjoyed their pizza on past visits.

choked on a long strand of hair because it was cooked into my garlic fingers. Great job wearing hairnets, I feel disgusted

Although thin, the crust is bread-like, the cheese is low-quality and abundant. The veggies are fresh.

Delcious as always. We live in New Glasgow and go to Antigonish for pizza, it's seriously that good!!

Pizza is delicious and staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere, there's a reason this place is a town favourite.

Would probably come again but the common problem is probably race related, though Id say one reason not to like it would be thick cheese that seems cold if its not eaten right away

The Wheel Pizza is legendary. Thin, hand tossed crust, thick cheese, and real toppings prepped by staff - you will not be disappointed!

An Antigonish staple! Obviously the pizza is amazing... But if you're looking for something else, then try one of their seriously yummy subs! At the Wheel, there is something for everyone!

They put too much sauce on the pizzas so I'd reccomend asking for extra cheese to balance it out

Not even close... I love pizza and this is by far the best and I mean the best pizza in Nova Scotia!!! I had 3 previous pizzas just this week in Ingonish, New Glasgow, and Sydney, and 5 in the last 9 days and this is by far the best! The cheese, the crust, the sauce, and the toppings are delicious. Truly amazing pizza.

Hands down the best pizza shop in Antigonish. Everyone and their family in the town has someconnection to the wheel and it shows, you feel like you’re eating in the back of someone’s kitchen but in a good way. Fantastic pizza fantastic atmosphere I always stop in at the wheel if I’m passing through town.

So the wheel is an interesting case. If your in the university or in town it’s a staple. Been around a long time. In my experience, it’s a very good pizza when your hammered. And is probably the worse pizza ever when your sober. Subs are alright , the rest , meh. All in all, I’ve had better, and probably worse.

Greasy, tasty, cheap. Pizza flops like the final scene of Boogie Nights. End of the day it's still a good zza. Highly recommend the people watching at 130am on a Friday night (unless you're over 40, then that's just creepy). PS over 50s there's stocked game and garlic bread.

Ordered 2 large pizzas for take out. One had a hair on it (gross, but we let it go). The second pizza had a whole large beetle/BUG embedded into the cheese. Returned to the store to show what was found and the owner barely looked surprised. Money was returned for only one pizza, the hair was not acknowledged. Best part is that they did not even apologize until we mentioned that they didnt. Seriously inappropriate.

I'm biased I live here in antigonish, however I've yet to have a pizza like this!

Excellent pizza, one of the best I've had in a long time!

me and two friends came in for a 10” pizza and a donair, we paid for both yet after waiting 20 minutes after the pizza we asked about the donair, they told us we didn’t order a donair even though we paid for it. At this point we had been there for 30 minutes and we didn’t want to argue, so we just left. Super disappointed considering we paid for both and only got the pizza.

Was ok not extraordinary. Quantity of cheese was less. Dough was hard.

An hour for donair on a Friday night. Pleasant staff. It's the go-to place and very popular with the locals, especially for take out.

Good not as expected. A hour wait and the dogs or meat tastes freezer burnt and the pita crust was dry and hard...do not recommend

This is my favorite pizza but that may be because I grew up with it. Awesome bready dough, sauce, thick cheese, and quality toppings. It's like NYC pizza but there is more of everything. Pricey but you get what you pay for. The subs are good too but the sub beef could use an upgrade... tough and low end.

Being a huge pizza fan and having tried every pizza place where I’m from (truro area) countless times,I’m not sure why it took me so long to try the famous wheel?!? It’s was good though! Had a lot to live up to but I can definitely see why people like it so much!

Honored to be able to say i grew up with this staple pizza place. I have a hard time enjoying anyone else's pizzas and donairs now. Its just never the same as Mike's

When I first tried this place years back, there was no hesitation on ever not going back. This is by far the best and the most packed food you can buy for your dollar. Recommend this place. The pizza and donairs are amazing!

Some of the best pizza I have tasted has come from The Wheel. The Works, Pepperoni and Chesse or Donair Pizza here are second to none!
